Wonderland Shakedown Production Blog: 2

It’s been a while since the last Wonderland Shakedown production blog, and since then I’ve made quite a few changes. My original plan was to tell the story chronologically and start with Alice meeting Lucky in the real world, but after about a minute of screen time, I decided it was running too long and started over with something a little more broad. You can see the thumbnails for the new version featured above, which is more of an anime intro with a runtime of 30 seconds. I’m a more interested in completing lot’s of shorter animations that I can finish quickly instead of investing months into a single, longer project.

Not to worry though, I don’t plan on throwing out all the work I did before, but instead I’m going to rework it into shorter chunks and incorporate them into later episodes; maybe like a flashback or something.

You can see a sample of my first iteration down below:

And here are some of the completed shots I did that I still plan on using in the future:

If you’re interested in seeing the new animatic based on those thumbnails at the top of the page, it’s currently available on my Patreon for paid members.

Next update I should have a lot more finished animation to show off!
